Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The History Center is a California-based nonprofit public benefit corporation exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Organization Storage: For a nominal annual fee, clubs are able to participate in the LWHC Storage Program. Annually, eligible clubs may contribute a maximum of one three-inch binder, or an equivalent sized container, to their existing stored items. Awards presented to the club, rosters, minutes of meetings and audio/video recordings of club functions may be stored. Sensitive financial information (i.e., tax returns, bank account numbers/statements, etc.) should not be included as stored materials become available for public inspection.

Open in new tab Donate Items: The LWHC accepts donations of items related to the local history of Laguna Woods Village, the City of Laguna Woods, and their surrounding environs in Orange County. We are particularly interested in photographs of community events and activities. If you would rather not part with your photographs, we can make arrangements to scan digital copies for our archives.
If you are the owner of an item that you would like to donate, please let us know. All donors must sign a Gift Agreement legally transferring the items to LWHC. Please note that LWHC does not supply appraised valuations, specific tax advice, or referrals regarding donated items.
