Adelia Sandoval is the Spiritual Overseer (Púul) and Cultural Director for the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians / Acjachemen Nation. Adelia shares her Acjachemen Culture through art, writing, storytelling and singing. She is a Ceremonial Leader, Song Keeper, Wisdom Holder, Tribal teacher and healer.

    Hadn’t planned to post my notes but glad we did. Adelia Sandoval’s presentation corrected the geographical range of the Acjachemen Nation, which has been and continues to be misinformation on the internet. Adelia also corrected the importance of Aliso Creek, not as a boundary with the Tongva Nation, but a place of Acjachemen sacred sites and ceremonial importance. -dod
